From 27-29 September 2022 – the Fachpack will take place in Nürnberg Exhibition Centre in Germany. Come and meet our team at Hall 2 – Stand 306 to discuss your requirements for functional packaging coatings, water-based and hot melt adhesives.
At Fachpack 2022, Paramelt will highlight functional solutions for paper-based flexible packaging based on two key platforms with strong current relevance. Both approaches offer significant benefits for designers of paper-based packaging enabling the creation of high-performance, environmentally responsible packaging materials.
Paramelt will present its renewable, vegetable based Paraflex Nowax coatings. These bio-based coatings, derived from natural oils, yield moisture barrier performance comparable to polyethylene, combined with certified home and industrial compostability.
The Aquaseal water-based coating platform offers high solids dispersions of conventional extrudable polymers. These novel dispersions provide exciting new routes to heat seal and barrier functionality for flexible packaging, whilst reducing overall material consumption. In combination with appropriate substrates, it also allows for the creation of recyclable and potentially compostable packaging structures through the use of biodegradable polymers.
Paramelt also offer a comprehensive range of EVA, polyolefin and metallocene based hot melt adhesives for case- and carton-sealing, tray erecting and other end-of-line packaging applications.
In addition to standard ranges, the company has developed tailored problem-solving grades to address many of the challenges of today’s high speed packaging lines and functional substrates. In short, Paramelt takes a ‘specialty approach’ in what is often considered a commodity market.
Based on extensive regulatory experience in the food packaging industry, combined with FSSC 22000 certified manufacturing operations, Paramelt offer their customers products complying with the highest standards of food safety.
Paramelt is today producing wax blends, adhesives and specialty dispersions globally, with a team of about 500 experienced employees to deliver security and consistency for their customers.
The overall range for the packaging sector includes both water-based and hot melt adhesives for paper & board converting, end-of-line packaging and labelling applications as well as wax blends, primers and water-borne coatings for paper, film and foil converting.
